Within an hour of first contacting
Mavweb,
we had web server space, SQL server
access, and email accounts donated to
the cause. They are also providing
assistance and software to aid in
traffic monitoring, security, and
administration of the site. A big thanks to Shawn and Todd.

Address
Verification and
Geo-coding Web Services |
|
| |
Intelligent
Search Technology has given us access to their
web-enabled address verification and geo-coding (gives the latitude and
longitude of an address)... which allowed us to build this site MUCH faster and
to clean up addresses when they are typed into the website (for example, it
will turn "Road" into "Rd"... making it much easier for us to match addresses
between our "Found" and "Search" lists.). Thanks!

actually hurt your eyes when you look at
them. She is also originally from

living there who evacuated north before
the storm hit. Thanks Erin!

The Katrina Data Project is using
Groove Network's Virtual Office software
to assist in communication and
organization between volunteers. The
built-in chat, discussion board, file
management, and issue tracking
capabilities of the Groove software have
allowed KDP's diverse team of volunteers
to organize rapidly and create a level
of functionality for KDP users that
might have taken months to organize,
even in person.KDP volunteers range in geographic
location from Europe to Seattle to
Canada to a small town in Kentucky...
and without Groove getting organized and
cooperating to make KDP happen would
have been difficult if not impossible.
Thanks to Groove for their continued
support of this project!
